Every Shrine Location & How to Beat Them in Tears of the Kingdom
It is important to note that Shrines in TotK’s Hyrule look very different from how they did in the previous title. This means that instead of looking out for Shrines that glow orange or blue, players need to keep an eye out for Shrine-shaped structures with glowing auroras ascending into the sky from the top of their cones.
Below is the exact location of every Shrine alongside a map reference and an explanation of how to solve them.

How to Find New Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom
The lands and skies of Tear of Kingdom’s Hyrule are filled with Shrines to locate and explore. To find more of them, we’ve found that it’s best to use a Skyview Tower to launch Link into the air and look around to see if there are any of the telltale glowing lights in the distance. If there are, we use the Purah Pad to tag them to fast-travel as close as possible and hunt them down. Unlocking the Shrine Sensor by fixing Robbie’s hot air balloon is a great early-game task for players who want to hunt down as many Shrines as possible.
It’s also worth talking to the NPCs Link encounters around Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some will mention Shrines around the world and point them out to Link as he adventures across the lands. This can lead players to Shrines they’d have never discovered otherwise.
How to Prepare Before Entering a Shrine
If a Shrine requires Link to use a weapon, then one can be found inside. There’s nothing much players need to do to prepare for entering Shrines other than give Link the best armor possible and try to have some powerful weapons in case there are a lot of enemies inside. Some Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom will remove all of Link’s gear. No amount of preparation will help with this other than making him eat some food or drink an Elixir that will boost his defense, stamina, or some other boost.
And that’s it! Check out our other The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guides below to help with crafting, exploring, and tackling challenges across Hyrule.
