Rockstar Games finally released the third Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer. The sequences showcased in this new trailer were intense and they all were pointing towards the storyline/plot. So those who were asking for Rockstar Games to share more details about the plot of Red Dead Redemption II, this third trailer is an answer from the development team. You guys can watch it below.

Red Dead Redemption 2 - John Marston Confirmed

The events in Red Dead Redemption II is set in 1899 which means it’s roughly 12 years before the first Red Dead Redemption game (the Red Dead Redemption plot was set in 1911). Immediately after the launch of Red Dead Redemption Trailer #3, Rockstar Games updated their official website with the following text:

“America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. From the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age. Coming October 26, 2018, to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.”

And more details were shared via the YouTube description of Trailer #3:

“After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.”
