Red Dead Redemption 2, the long-awaited sequel to the classic Red Dead Redemption, which won the hearts of the critics as well as the fans. The game has been developed for almost 6 years now, and last year it was revealed that the game will be releasing in 2018. And after waiting for so long we finally get a release date for the game which is October 26th, via an official announcement by Rockstar Games on their website (full message is posted below).

Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed To October 2018

Rockstar games understand that the game’s release has been delayed and they have apologized accordingly in their announcement. According to them the reason for the delay was polishing the game as much as they can. And personally, I think that is a pretty good reason to wait for. As Rockstar Games do fulfill their promise and GTA V is the best example of it. And only after the game is released we will come to know whether the wait was worth it or not.

“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th, 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”
