In January, we’ve witnessed the release of an Onimusha: Warlords remaster for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
It was almost a straight port from the original version, so nothing comparable to the much appreciated and completely rebuilt Resident Evil 2.
Anyway, it looks like more interesting stuff is on the horizon for the franchise, at least based on intel gathered by an insider.
According to well known Nintendo expert Liam Robertson, “there are a lot of interesting rumors about Capcom going around right now.”
Then he added, more specifically, that “if you want to see more Onimusha, buy that rerelease. Just saying.”
Of course, it was almost a given that the Onimusha re-release was launched in order to gauge interest in the old franchise.
So, it’ll be interesting to see which conclusions Capcom is jumping to once the dust will be settled and it’ll be time to decide what to do with the series.
