With less than a day to go before Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference, we’ve got what may be the final confirmation that the company is bringing next-gen news to the show. Twitter user @Cr8Beyond spotted codes in a Microsoft promotional video that together spell out the RGB code for Scarlet.

If that last sentence doesn’t mean anything to you, there are a couple of things you need to know. In any electronic device, colors are broken down into three numbers telling the system how much red, green, and blue to put into each individual pixel (hence, RGB). Internally, Microsoft has been referring to its next-gen console as Scarlett.

An E3 promo video that Microsoft recently shared contained the codes “R 255,” “G 36,” and “B 0,” which together form Scarlet. Slap an extra T on end for the coolness factor, and you’ve got a not-so-subtle hint that Microsoft’s next-gen console will see the light of day soon. At least some information about it will.

And if that’s not convincing enough, Microsoft even gave the Twitter user who pointed it out a free month of Game Pass for their trouble.

We’re not expecting anything too wild to be revealed, but we’ll probably learn something about its processing power and maybe get a hint of some of the first games that will appear on the console.

Technically, Scarlett is expected to be two consoles — a high-powered version codenamed Anaconda, and a lower spec one called Lockhart.

Since Sony already spilled the beans about its new console to Wired earlier this year, now would be an ideal time for Microsoft to unveil their plans, especially if they’ve got something they think can top Sony’s offering.

Either way, there’s not long to wait now. Microsoft’s E3 press conference begins Sunday at 1 p.m. Pacific time.
