If Nintendo wants then they can take/add Banjo and Kazooie to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch, according to the details confirmed by Phil Spencer on Twitter.
Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch has finally been announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, and from the looks of it, the game is still going to feature several guest characters from other video games series.
Back in the days of the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions, Phil Spencer said he would have no issues in offering Banjo and Kazooie characters from the Rare portfolio, as they were sort of an heritage from previous Nintendo consoles.
Once again, talking with a fan on Twitter, Spencer said “yep” to a question about whether he’d be “still willing” to do that, making it clear this way that the pair could be featured in the upcoming and much-anticipated brawler game.
At this point, we still don’t know how the roster of fighters will be like in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch, but sure enough, we can say we’d be more than glad if Nintendo and Microsoft could come to some sort of agreement on this topic.

The two are already cooperating when it comes to the cross-play feature, which is set to allow Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile Minecraft users to play together. Cross-play also works on Rocket League.
