BioWare legend Casey Hudson, who worked as the game director for the Mass Effect trilogy, has come forward in a blog post detailing how the team behind Anthem felt about the game’s launch. He describes the team’s atmosphere as, “very disappointed, as were many of you.”

Despite these challenging endeavors, the blog post is not him raising a white flag or asking players for their support. Instead, he describes the launch as a “learning experience,” with the Anthem team continuing to make plans about the game’s future.

“As we move through this difficult period of launching a new game and Ip, we are also working on the things that will really show that Anthem is capable of – a series of world events, new story content, and new features, that all build towards the Cataclysm later this spring,” Hudson wrote. He continued with, “But we understand there is skepticism out there. We hear the criticisms and doubts. But we’ll keep going anyway, working hard every day on Anthem – an ever-changing world, constantly improving and growing, and supported well into the future by our team of passionate developers.”

Hudson ends the post by highlighting Anthem as something different than the BioWare team is used to, and that their fans should not expect their future games to share a similar design.

For those hoping for the future of Anthem to improve, there’s still hope. BioWare will continue to update their community about the game’s future, and what to expect, soon.
