Resident Evil fans, you’re going to want this.
Resident Evil 3 is coming back in a big way, with the Project Resistance online game also being part of the package. But we know what you die-hard R.E. fans are already asking: Is there a physical collector’s edition? The answer is yes, of course there is.
Capcom revealed a special Collector’s Edition of Resident Evil 3, which will be available exclusively at GameStop, shortly after the new trailer went up. And it looks to be pretty amazing.
You can see it for yourself in the shot below, but it includes a bunch of great extras that Capcom fans won’t want to miss. These include a special 11-inch Jill Valentine statue, with gun in hand; a digital double album soundtrack; a collector’s art book; a copy of the game in physical format; a S.T.A.R.S. Box package to keep everything nice and neat (or store other stuff, if you prefer); and a Raccoon City double-sided map, which looks pretty sizable and covers about all the territory you would want.
In addition, if you pre-order the package (or the standard edition), it also includes the Classic Costume Pack, which features outfits inspired by Jill and Carlos’ appearances in the original Resident Evil 3—including the halter top and skirt that Jill initially wore in the game, for the purists out there.
The Resident Evil 3 Collector’s Edition will be available the same day as the standard edition, on Apr. 3, 2020, for $179.99. The PlayStation 4 version was revealed, but there should be one for Xbox One as well. It’s not available for pre-order just yet, but it should be shortly.
