With big titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 there’s always a risk of a delay, because of factors such as the level of polish and refinement the developer wants to reach or the will to find a more suitable release window.

Anyway, it seems like Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have already found the best solution for them, and for the launch of the western based open world game there won’t be any further delay.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Won't Be Delayed Again

“Hand on heart,” T2 CEO Strauss Zelnick commented about a possible further delay of the release date. “When I said hand on heart, it’s over 1,000 people at Rockstar Games with their hands on their hearts.”

So there’s a promise that the game won’t be delayed anymore – Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing on October 26 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a date which has even forced Activision to release the next Call of Duty a bit earlier than the usual.

It’s worth noting that the game had already been delayed twice. Originally, it was slated for 2017 and then was moved back to Spring 2018. After that, an October 26, 2018 date was chosen and apparently they’re still committing to it.
