There are many, many bosses in Elden Ring. Some players just want to see credits roll, but others want to make sure they’ve taken down every single threat in The Lands Between. Limgrave
Your journey starts here. The opening area is lorded over by Godrick the Grafted, who waits for you inside his fortress, Stormveil Castle.

Liurnia of the Lakes
North of Limgrave is the largest region in the whole game, Liurnia of the Lakes. It’s where you’ll find the Academy of Raya Lucaria, watched over by the magical Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.

Caelid
East of Limgrave is Caelid, a red wasteland that can be especially dangerous early in the game. There you’ll find Starscourge Radahn, who was once the mightiest Shardbearer.

Weeping Peninsula
South of Limgrave is the Weeping Peninsula. There are no Shardbearers there, but the region is still full of serious threats.

Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow
Attached to Caelid at its northern edge is Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow. As the name implies, it’s full of flying, fire-breathing dragons.

Altus Plateau
You can reach the Altus Plateau few different ways, but they all attach to the northern tip of Liurnia. Don’t let the grasslands fool you — this region is also very dangerous.

Mt. Gelmir
Mt. Gelmir is Elden Ring’s volcanic region, sitting to the west of the Altus Plateau. Here you’ll find the Volcano Manor, home to Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.

Capital Outskirts and Leyndell, Royal Capital
East of the Altus Plateau is the capital city. Leyndell itself is surrounded by a massive protective wall, and the aftermath of war runs all around it.

Forbidden Lands and Mountaintops of the Giants
Up north lies the cold, snowy lands of the giants. The Forbidden Lands are a foggy path that connect the two regions, and you can ascend to the mountaintops with the Grand Lift of Rold.

Crumbling Farum Azula
After lighting the Forge of the Giants, you’ll awaken in Crumbling Farum Azula. This once great city is now suspended high in the air around a tornado.

Consecrated Snowfields and Miquella’s Haligtree
Instead of going up the Grand Lift of Rold to the Mountaintops of the Giants, you can ride down to the Consecrated Snowfields. Survive the blizzard, and you’ll be spirited away to Miquella’s Haligtree beyond that.

Siofra River and Nokron, Eternal City
There’s an entire underworld in The Lands Between, and these two regions are just a part of it. The Siofra River runs along the eastern part of the continent, supplied by an aqueduct from the city above.

Ainsel River, Lake of Rot, and Deeproot Depths
This trio of regions composes the other underworld section. Ainsel River leads down the Lake of Rot, and Deeproot Depths sits somewhere beneath the Erdtree on the surface.

Leyndell, Ashen Capital and Elden Throne
Return to Leyndell at the end of the game, and you’ll find it destroyed. At this point, you’ll be able to enter the Erdtree itself and put an end to your long journey.
