All Caelid boss locations in Elden Ring
The wasteland is wild.
Every region in Elden Ring is dangerous, but Caelid is especially nasty. The red, dusty wasteland is home to some gnarly bosses and dungeons. If you want to see the full rundown of the major threats in the area, you can see them all listed alphabetically below.
All boss locations in Caelid
Cemetery Shade
The Cemetery Shade is the boss of the Caelid Catacombs, found along the southern edge of the continent. The dungeon entrance is marked in the screenshot above.
Commander O’Neil
Commander O’Neil can be a tough boss to beat (here’s how), thanks to the squad of soldiers that fight with him. He can be encountered in the Swamp of Aeonia in the spot pointed out above.

Crucible Knight & Misbegotten Warrior
This boss duo is fought just before completing Redmane Castle, the region’s main story dungeon. The castle itself is found on the island off the southeastern tip of Caelid, but be prepared to fight all the soldiers that guard the entrance.
Death Rite Bird
There are a few different Death Rite Birds across The Lands Between — here’s how to fight them. This particular one is found southwest of the Swamp of Aeonia. It will swoop in and attack when you get close, but only at night.
Decaying Ekzykes
Ekzykes is one of several dragons in the game, and thanks to his rotting flesh, you might actually have trouble spotting him since he blends into the environment a bit. Head to the spot marked above, just off the Caelid Highway, to find him.
Erdtree Avatar
You can encounter this boss shortly after entering Caelid. It guards the Minor Erdtree near the connection to Limgrave, as seen above.
Erdtree Burial Watchdogs
Right by that same tree is the entrance to the Minor Erdtree Catacombs. This pair of bosses is the final obstacle inside. You might have to fight two at once, but the strategy is still the same.
Fallingstar Beast
This is another dungeon boss, found at the end of the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. The entrance is marked above, in the center-north part of the region.
Frenzied Duelist
Gaol Cave is another dungeon, found in the western part of the region. You’ll face the Frenzied Duelist at the end of your journey through.
Mad Pumpkin Heads
There’s a pair of Mad Pumpkin Heads under the Caelem Ruins. Go to the spot marked above and take the stairs down to find them in a basement chamber. Just like the two watchdogs in this region, the way to beat this boss is the same; you’re just dealing with two of them.
Magma Wyrm
The Magma Wyrm is the boss of the Gaol Tunnel dungeon. See the screenshot above for the entrance, and see our boss guide to learn how to beat it when you get there.
Night’s Cavalry
There are several Night’s Cavalries in Elden Ring, and as the name implies, they can only be encountered at night. This one patrols the southern portion of the Caelid Highway.
Nox Swordstress & Nox Priest
There’s another double boss fight in Caelid, and this one is found inside the crypt in Sellia, Town of Sorcery. It’s locked at first, so you’ll need to know how to lift the seals in town first. Once that’s done, you can enter the crypt and face them.
Putrid Tree Spirit
After defeating Starscourge Radahn (below), you can access the War-Dead Catacombs. This particularly difficult dungeon is found at the extreme northeastern corner of the wasteland that Radahn roamed. You’ll face the Putrid Tree Spirit in its final chamber.
Starscourge Radahn
General Radahn is the ultimate boss of Caelid, found at the end of Redmane Castle. Here’s how to start the Radahn Festival and face him.
