The best AUG loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

The ever-reliable AUG is ready for war.

When creating your loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, you may find yourself drawn towards the Tactical Rifle weapon class. The Tactical Rifle class includes both burst and semi-auto rifles with decent range and power that are pretty reliable for accuracy. This class is filled with multiple viable choices for when you go into the battlefield. The AUG tactical rifle is one of the most recognizable weapons in all of Black Ops Cold War because of its usefulness in this game and in Call of Duty games in the past. The AUG can have up to five attachments on it at a time. Its maximum level is 55, so once you reach there, you can access every accessory. Here is our recommendation for the best loadout for the AUG.

SUSAT Multizoom

Starting in the Optic section, we like the SUSAT Multizoom. When looking down the sight, you can quickly and easily swap between 2.0 and 4.0 magnification, making it the most useful in more circumstances than other sights. However, while we love the Multizoom, you should choose whichever optic you are most comfortable with. Just remember that with tactical rifles, you want something that you can easily use for medium to long-range.

SOCOM Eliminator

The SOCOM Eliminator is our choice in the Muzzle section. This attachment gives you 85% towards your muzzle concealment, making it a little harder for enemies to spot you when firing from a hidden area. It also provides a nice 17% buff to vertical recoil control. You do, however, feel a slight 10% loss in horizontal recoil control and shooting move speed.

19.8” Task Force

In the barrel section, the 19.8” Task Force is excellent because it gives a 14% boost in damage, 50% effective range, and 50% bullet velocity. In general, this attachment makes you more lethal in your firepower. It will lower your overall recoil control some more, but the raw increase in damage and other attachments we use will make up for that.

Field Agent Foregrip

The Field Agent Foregrip in the Underbarrel section is the most significant piece we will use to make up for our recoil issues. It gives a 10% buff in vertical recoil control and a significant 40% boost in the horizontal recoil. You will get a slight hit to your shooting move speed, but that is not too important for using a tactical rifle.

Airborne Elastic Wrap

Our final attachment choice comes with the Airborne Elastic Wrap in the Handle section. With this handy handle, you get 30% faster aim down sight time, a massive 90% flinch resistance buff, and a small bonus to your aim while going prone. You will see a 15% hit to your shooting movement speed and sprint to fire time, which is a nice trade-off for what you get.
