Mayhem

Mayhem is Destruction AllStars’ classic deathmatch mode. A game type that is playable in solo and team modes, Mayhem requires players to wreck as many opponents as possible before the timer runs out.

You do so by ramming other drivers to cause vehicular damage, and you rack up points depending on how much damage you cause and how many cars you destroy. Damage can also be inflicted by players who are on foot. The player or team with the highest points total at the end of the match wins.

Carnado

Another game type that supports solo or team play. Carnado is Mayhem Plus, and is focused on a risk and reward system where strategy plays a big role.

Like Mayhem, you have to damage opponents’ cars and wreck them. However, instead of earning points, you will earn Gears, a Destruction AllStars’ in-game collectible items. To score points, players must sacrifice their vehicles by driving them into a Carnado. You can also pick up points by acquiring a new vehicle as quickly as possible or stealing an opponents’ car.

Stockpile

A team-based mode that is Destruction AllStars’ version of Control game modes. You have to wreck and knock out opposition vehicles to cause Gears to fall to the floor. Once they do, you will have to collect them on foot, traverse the frantic car-based gameplay around you, and deposit your Gears in one of the three banks distributed around the map.

Standing on a bank deposits your Gears and captures that bank for your team. The team with the most banks at the end of the match wins.

Gridfall

A game type for up to 16 players. Gridfall will be a test of your driving skills as the arena floor randomly falls from below you. You are free to ram your opponents off the map edge if a piece of floor falls around them, or you can take a more cautious approach and steer clear of any danger by hiding on one of the safer pieces.

Every time you get wrecked, you can use a respawn token to get back into the game. However, once you have exhausted your respawns, it is game over. The winner is the last player standing.

Training Ground

This non-competitive game type lets you practice with any of the 16 AllStars characters in-game. You can master the basics in the training ground’s tutorial before you head into the competitive arena.

Those are the game modes available at launch. More will be added through Seasonal Updates, community feedback, and special in-game events. Check back here closer to launch and after February 2021, once we have more information on additional game modes.
