However, some players are PC experiencing a reoccurring crashing error whenever they try to log into the game. Luckily, there’s a distinct workaround.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC Crashes Fix

If you played the Open Beta Ubisoft ran from Sept. 26 to the 29, you might find yourself experiencing this issue. Others who chose not to partake in the event likely are not having a problem with it on their PC, and can freely ignore it. However, if you did, it appears Ubisoft may have accidentally left a particular file in your game to cause the crashes, and now you have to find it.

Wherever you have the game stored on your PC, you want to locate it. You need to find it in your main directory, and you should see the massive installation folder under “Ghost Recon Breakpoint.” When you find it, click on it. You’re going to see a long line of text files. These are all of the files the game is using to run on your select desktop. Thankfully, you only need to locate the single file.

You’re looking for the one labeled: DataPC_TGT_WorldMap.forge.

When you find it, click on it, and hit, “Delete.” It should go away from the main files. Closeout of the folder, and you proceed to try logging into the game. Instead of crashing, you’re going to find yourself continuing to the loading screen, and you’re back in the game.

Hopefully, this solves your problem. If you’re experiencing another issue with the game, you’re going to want to reach out to Ubisoft on their main website and describe the issue to their support staff. The more information you provide them, the faster they’re going to be able to assist you with the problem.
