There are four different classes in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Here’s how you change between them.
You can play Ghost Recon Breakpoint‘s open beta right now if you have a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or a PC from the UPlay store. Yes, because it’s an open beta you do not have to pre-order the game or promise a specific amount of money to Ubisoft to try it out. You can jump in for free. You only need to download the game. There are four classes available, and you can switch between them.
How to Change Classes in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
The four classes are made up of a Sharpshooter, Assault, Panther, and a Field Medic. All three of these classes have individual traits that make them stand out during a firefight. They’re going to specialize in a variety of different options, granting players the opportunity to play the game to fit their general playstyle.
If you play a class for a while, you can freely try out another if you think it’s going to fit how you like to play the game. While you can put points into a class whenever you have a free skill point, you cannot freely switch between any of them. You have to do it at a specific location, called a Bivouacs. You can find these hidden locations throughout the game by looking for small smoke signals in the sky.
When you get to a Bivouacs, you can choose to specialize in a particular class and change for your current choice. Doing so means you’re going to switch into the ranks of that class and lose the specialization of the one you were playing for the new option. Making this decision is likely going to have you change up your present loadout to accommodate the specialization and skills of your new class better.
That’s all you need to do. You do need to have a skill point in the class before you can give it to your Ghost operative.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint officially releases for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on the UPlay store on Oct. 4.
