There are several items in Call of Duty: Warzone that allow you to get an edge over your opponent. One of those items is perks, which are available through the custom loadouts in the game’s lobby. We went over how to obtain perks in a previous guide, so make sure to check that out if you’re unsure of how to equip perks. However, it’s relatively simple, as you can select three from three different slots in each of your 10 loadouts. You can then purchase a specific loadout from Buy Stations for $6,000 Cash.

Although, today, we’ll be helping you decide what perks to use on your loadouts. There are some definite “S-Tier” perks that you should be equipping on almost every one of your classes. So, what are those perks?

1. Cold Blooded

Cold Blooded is an essential perk in Warzone. Since everyone is running around with custom loadouts, many players have a thermal sniper rifle equipped. The HDR and AX-50 are the two most popular snipers, and both have thermal scopes available to them.

With Cold Blooded, you can bypass that thermal scope, allowing you to stay undetected from the enemies. We wouldn’t recommend using any other perk in your first slot, as the current state of Warzone is heavily reliant on sniper rifles.

2. Overkill

Another near-essential perk, Overkill, enables you to carry two primary weapons instead of one primary and one secondary. As we previously stated, Warzone is currently infested with snipers, making Overkill one of the most popular perks because players need an assault rifle or submachine gun to pair with the sniper.

However, unlike with the first perk slot, the second slot is a bit more contested. Overkill is the most dominant choice, but there is another that you can consider using.

3. Ghost

Ghost is the other perk you could use in your second slot. While not as impactful as Overkill, Ghost is still extremely useful in Warzone right now. Ghost protects you from being spotted when an enemy calls in a UAV. Since the UAV is arguably the best killstreak, there are a ton being called in.

We would argue that Overkill is a more useful all-around, but Ghost serves an essential purpose as well. It’s really up to you when deciding which perk to use in slot two.

4. Tracker

Once again, the perk three slot is not really up for debate in terms of importance. You could use something like Spotter, but that’s a niche perk with limited uses. However, Tracker can be utilized whenever you’re in a gunfight and is especially useful during the early and late game.

What Tracker does is allows you to see enemy footsteps on the ground in big, red outlines. So, if you’re chasing an enemy, but you’re not sure where they went, Tracker, enables you to follow their exact path.
