Things are about to get Stranger in Psyonix’s hit game.
Heads up, Rocket League fans. Things are about to get a little bit…stranger.
The latest crossover for the hit Netflix series into video games (following the show’s indie release and some Dead by Daylight content), Psyonix announced it would have Stranger Things-related content for its hit multiplayer socCAR game. It’ll be available starting on Oct. 14 as part of the company’s Haunted Hallows event, which is in the trailer below.
Like previous events, players have the chance to earn Candy Corn across several Online Matches, which they can use to purchase goods based on Stranger Things. This content includes the following:
- Camp Know Where Topper
- Demogorgon Player Banner
- Demogorgon Player Title
- Hawaiian Hopper Decal
- Scoops Ahoy Avatar Border
- Starcourt Wheels
- Stranger Things Boost
On top of that, the Farmstead Arena will transform the event into the Upside Down. It’ll still be Farmstead through and through, but with a bit of a Stranger essence.
The event kicks off on Oct. 14 and will run through Nov. 11. During that time, players will be able to use their accumulated Candy Corn to purchase the goods through Nov. 14.
The official Rocket League page has a better look at some of these items, along with the screenshots above. If you’re a fan of the show, this is a must-play event, just for the Scoops Ahoy Avatar alone. And if you’re in a Halloween state of mind, the third season of Stranger Things is airing now on Netflix – and a fourth season is on the way!E
Rocket League is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
