With a ragtag band of adventurers, you’ll engage in well-balanced, turn-based battles and embark on quests across the kingdom of Erdrea. Forge gear, develop party members’ skills, and alter their outfits without changing gear in this edition of the game! This version also lets you ride and attack with monsters on the field to earn experience points, as well as change between HD or 16-bit visuals, symphonic or synth music, and English or Japanese audio. Complete the tale with new character-focused stories, and travel to past DRAGON QUEST worlds!

The good news doesn’t end there, as a demo for the game is now available on the Nintendo eShop.

You will be able to immerse yourself in the adventure, and your progress will carry over when the game releases. Nintendo has described the upcoming RPG as having the “most impressive scope” in the series to date. You will be able to visit past Dragon Quest worlds, wear outfits without changing gear, and even ride and attack with monsters. The Pep system will delivery tactical depth as it allows you to combine party members moves into special attacks, and the game is filled with a rich story and number side-quests and mini-games.

Dragon Quest XI S: Shadows of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition will release for Nintendo Switch on September 27.
