This month’s issue of CoroCoro magazine shows the Pokémon Mewtwo in a new set of armor that is set to appear in the upcoming movie Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution.

Set to release Nov. 17 in the United States, the remake of the original Pokémon movie looks to have Armored Mewtwo decked out in a redesigned version of the armor that its creators used to suppress his power.

CoroCoro magazine, a publication in Japan that focuses on Anime and Manga news, the team reported that Armored Mewtwo might be exclusive to the movie. Any coinciding merchandise or promotions that come from it will also be exclusive to the movie and won’t have any links to the upcoming Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Armored Pokémon have been rumored to be coming to Sword and Shield for some time but CoroCoro’s report could throw a spanner in the works. Of course, Armored Pokémon could still be an integral part of the game, but we will need to wait to hear more about the titles at this year’s E3 next month.
