Death Stranding: Diane Kruger “Blown Away” By Trailers, Suggests Kojima To Direct Movies

Diane Kruger, who’s being long rumored to be part of the staff of actors for the game, has talked about Death Stranding in a recent interview and had a lot of compliments reserved for its creator Hideo Kojima.

Kruger is Norman Reedus’ partner and has been showcased a trailer of the title at a recent dinner with the game director in Tokyo. She said she’s been blown away not only by the quality of the visuals but especially for the attention to the details that apparently make Kojima something of a proper movie maker.

Death Stranding - Norman Reedus Meeting Hideo Kojima

“We met in Los Angeles. My partner [Norman Reedus] is in this game, and [Kojima] just blew my mind. I was invited to, I guess, a wrap dinner, and he showed me his trailer, and I just went- He’s legendary,” she told Maidigi TV.

“I had the luck to see his trailer for Death Stranding. I actually told him that he should direct a feature film. Because in his vision of video games, there’s so much attention and so much attention to detail, that basically, you’re watching a movie. His sensitivity towards performance is what sets him apart.”

“I’m not a big video game player myself, but I was completely blown away when I saw his trailer. It’s mind-blowing. Visually, for sure, but what struck me the most is that it’s very difficult in five or ten minutes to create a world, and to have emotion come across, and just wanting more.”

As she confirmed in a previous occasion on Instagram, Diane Kruger is not going to be involved, unfortunately, in the making of Death Stranding. The game will most probably be at E3 2018, so make sure to follow us this June for more details and perhaps a release window.
