Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 Pro Will Run At 1080p/60FPS And 4K/30FPS

The PS4 Pro version of Shadow of the Colossus will support two performance mode – Performance Mode i.e. 1080p/60FPS and Cinematic Mode i.e. 4K/30FPS.

The remaster of the classic PS2 game Shadow of the Colossus will be released for the PS4 soon. And as it is being released for the PS4, it only makes sense that it will be taking advantage of the PS4 Pro’s superior hardware as well.Currently, the game is in its final stages of development and is being developed by Bluepoint Games.

Shadow of The Colossus Resolution FPS On PS4 Pro

Today, the development team behind the game revealed the details regarding the Resolution and FPS at which Shadow of the Colossus will run on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.

As per the details revealed by Bluepoint, Shadow of the Colossus will run at 1080p FHD, 60 FPS on the PS4. And the PS4 Pro version has two game modes, Performance mode, and Cinematic mode. The prior renders the game at 1080p 60 FPS, whereas the later renders the game at 4K and 30 FPS.

They followed the footsteps of what CD Projekt Red did for the Witcher 3 on Xbox One X.

The game will be using the original source code from PS2 and most of the animations will also remain same, in order to keep the original essence of the game intact. The game will be using new rendering techniques developed by Bluepoint Games and will have additional new animations along with assets for the graphical update.

The game is to be released on February 6th, 2018.
