After ongoing interest in a Nintendo Switch port, Sukeban Games and Ysbryd Games have revealed that the cyberpunk bartending visual novel VA-11 Hall-A is coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in early 2019.

The announcement comes from an official trailer published by Sukeban Games earlier today, in which the game’s mysterious and seemingly-omnipresent character Anna hints at VA-11 Hall-A’s arrival on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch logos flashed on screen and were followed by the phrase “early 2019.”

No official release date was announced in the trailer, however, Anna teases that “we’ll have more info for you next time.” This year certainly seems busy for Sukeban Games, too. In a New Year’s post from the Venezuelan development team, the studio teased “new games” and “new stories” for 2018, declaring “let’s change the world.”

It’s unclear what those games or stories would be, or if Sukeban has any official plans lined up as of yet. But at the very least, fans can look forward to more VA-11 Hall-A news as the game’s official console release approaches.

Meanwhile, The OP chatted with Wolfgames’ Wolfgang Wozniak earlier this year, who collaborated with Sukeban Games on VA-11 Hall-A’s official PlayStation Vita port. Wozniak, who isn’t part of Sukeban Games but partners with indie developers to port their games, spoke out about some of his own hardships with the Nintendo Switch, warning that Nintendo of America is particularly picky with its indie Switch titles.
