According to a new discovery shared on Twitter, it seems that the Spyro the Dragon demo button found in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was added on purpose, as it was placed inside the code of the game.

User BetaM from Germany says on Twitter, anyway, that finding this reference in the code of the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s a demo on its way.

“I don’t know whether it confirms a demo to be added, but, as I said there, I think it confirms the button code being intentionally added as opposed to being a bug like some people thought,” he said on Twitter, further précising the meaning of his discovery.

Considering there’s a rumor out there about the announcement and release of a Spyro the Dragon remastered trilogy, we would not rule out the possibility that a demo might be on the way.

Last time we heard about it, Kotaku UK hinted at the possibility that the remaster could be announced as early as this March, being released slightly later in Q3, perhaps already in time for September. It is said to be a timed PS4 exclusive, such as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

We’ll update you as soon as we have more details on the matter.
