A new trailer for the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption II has been released and it’s sure to get the blood flowing early on this Wednesday morning.

The trailer reaffirms the time and setting of the game, which is a prequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption. While that game took place in 1911, this one looks to be set in 1899, with a new main character.

The prequel centers around the new protagonist named Arthur Morgan, who is part of the Dutch van der Linde gang. Players will remember Dutch as a central antagonist from the original game, and that previous main character John Marston was a part of the gang as well. Odds are that players will be running into or working with John Marston and other returning characters like Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella, and John’s wife Abigail.

Before Dutch’s descent into madness, he thought himself a savior of the people. The story might focus on that aspect of Dutch’s life from the fresh perspective of Arthur Morgan, all while being placed in a massive open world of the wild west.

With this being Rockstar Games’ first big release since Grand Theft Auto V in 2013, the anticipation is at a fever pitch. Red Dead Redemption II is set to release on Oct. 26 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There’s currently no plans to bring the game to the PC.
