It looks like Rockstar Games won’t be sparing any expense when it comes to its newest western-themed open world game Red Dead Redemption 2. Not that we had any doubt as to whether it would, but Rockstar has now confirmed that there will be several special editions of the game when it launches later this year.

In a recent blog post, Rockstar teased the upcoming game with some new screenshots and slipped this little tidbit in at the end: “Stay tuned for more Red Dead Redemption 2 info next month including first details about the game’s special editions and more.” So we know we’re getting multiple special editions, alright, but what kind? Unfortunately, we have no earthly idea as to what we can expect from them.

With E3 2018 right around the corner, we’re probably a lot closer than we think to figuring out what we might be seeing in terms of physical or digital goodies bundled with Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s quite possible that we could end up seeing a PlayStation 4 bundle of some sort, or perhaps something that includes the other games in the saga, which would be a great move for Rockstar.

We won’t know much more about what we need to save our pennies up for, however, for some time. Hopefully there’s an abundance of physical rewards since those are few and far between when it comes to larger releases these day. A model of a horse would be a nice touch, if we’re dreaming.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is targeting an October 26 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There’s no official word just yet on what’s going on with a PC release or when we might be able to see that, so don’t get your hopes up just yet, PC users.
