PS4 Games Causing Issues With PSN ID Name Change

As we’ve reported over the last few hours, PSN ID name change is finally available for all the users on PlayStation 4.

The feature has been long anticipated and has been in beta for a while, before dropping for everyone on PlayStation Network.

Anyway, during testing, Sony has found that the feature could be causing some issues on several games.

Those issues are split into two different tiers: one with marginal problems and the other with critical problems like game saves that get canceled and more.

Light issues – previous ID visible, ID disappearing, settings returning to default. Unlog and log in again to fix them

We suggest that you don’t change your ID at all until you stop playing these games, which luckily enough are not so recent.

Sony has been able to make all the titles released after April 1, 2018, fully compatible with the newest features, so you should manage to have a safe experience on your latest purchases.
