Sony is making some drastic change to the working of PlayStation Plus Free Games line-up. Starting from March 8, 2019, PlayStation Plus Free Games line-up will only focus on PlayStation 4 which means Instant Game Collection line-up from March 8, 2019, won’t feature games for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The good news is that this change is not going to affect PlayStation Plus subscribers’ existing line-up i.e. any games you have already downloaded, or you will download, prior to March 8, 2019, will remain in your library as long as you are PlayStation Plus subscribers.

March 2019 - PS Plus Free Games For PS4 Only

When asked to reveal the reason behind ditching PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita from Instant Game Collection line-up starting from March 2019? Sony replied: “Many of our fans are playing on the PS4 platform, with the increasingly vast number of PS4s in homes around the world. We’ll continue to prioritize the benefits you receive through your PS Plus membership, such as online multiplayer, online game save storage, PS4 monthly games, and exclusive PS Store discounts across content and network services.”

So there you have it folks, no new PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita Games will be added to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection lineup from March 8, 2019 – and starting from this same date only 2 PlayStation 4 games will be available for download for free.

In another news, yesterday, Sony also revealed PlayStation Plus March 2018 free games for Asia region – the lineup includes only Bloodborne for PlayStation 4, there is no second game for PS4 as in the case of the lineup for the US and Europe.
