PlayStation Plus revealed yesterday its March 2018 lineup, and it’s going to be crazy, most probably the best Instant Game Collection since the launch of the service. We’ll have Bloodborne, Ratchet & Clank, Mighty No. 9, and more, which represent a huge offering for subscribers.

Together with the announce of the lineup, though, Sony has made a statement about the support of PS Vita and PS3, which PlayStation Plus won’t be serving anymore with new free content beginning from March 8, 2019.

PlayStation Plus March 2019 Free Games Change

“In this occasion, we would like to inform that the provisions of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita content through PS Plus’ Free Play will end as of March 8, 2019,” Sony said in a note posted on PlayStation Blog.

“As for content that has been added to your Library before the above end date, as long as you are still under a subscription to PS Plus, you will still be able to enjoy them without any limitations in time or play amount. (Note: this excludes content which is no longer published on PlayStation Store)

PS Plus will continue to provide various services that satisfy consumers from here on. We sincerely hope to be honored with your understanding.”

It might be sad to see PlayStation Vita lose its biggest asset right away, but noting the quality of the lineup during the last few months it was clear Sony didn’t have many more games to put on offer.

Enjoy the last year together, and have your fingers crossed for some of the best titles left in the PS Vita portfolio which could be selected as a farewell gift during the next twelve months. Any guesses?
