The mobile game Pokémon Masters will be available this Thursday, Aug. 29. A few days before the game’s launch, a new video series has started called “Pokémon Masters News.” The series provides players with updates on the game’s various in-game events. The first video in the series recently aired, describing the game’s upcoming Launch Celebration and first Story Event.

The Pokémon Masters Launch Celebration event will take place from Aug. 28 at 11:00 pm PT to Oct. 16 at 10:59 pm PT. During this period, players can receive in-game presents and log-in bonuses, such as gems, which allow players to scout out new Sync Pairs to add to their team. The Launch Celebration also features special missions. Completing these missions will reward players with various items that will help them on their journey.

Pokémon Masters will feature various Story Events separate from the main story that will expand on the stories of specific characters. The game’s first Story Event is called “Reach for the Top” and focuses on former Kanto Champion Blue. Blue syncs up with Pidgeot and gets joined by the Sync Pairs Misty & Starmie or Flannery & Torkoal, as well as the player character. They team up to take on Bruno & Machamp, alongside two other Sync Pairs. Completion of this and other Story Events will grant the player various rewards. Blue’s Story Event will run from Sept. 2 at 11:00 pm PT to Sept. 29 at 10:59 pm PT. If you miss this event, it will return at a later date for players to try again.
