Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee! is set to have an extensive post-game that will challenge even the more hardcore trainers out there, the games’ director, Junichu Masuda, has told Polygon.

The post-game content will introduce something known as “Master Trainers” which will be powerful trainers that you can encounter after the main story. These trainers will offer more difficult encounters for players who may have felt that the game was looking too beginner-friendly in comparison to other core RPG titles. The game is, of course, a way to bridge the gap between Pokémon Go players who might be getting into the core RPG series for the first time.

Pokemon Let's Go Post Launch Content Difficulty

“A good portion of the more difficult stuff is in the post-game,” Masuda told Polygon. “There’s ways to strengthen your Pokémon, and the reason you wanna do that is, you take on these master trainers these really powerful trainers that you encounter after the main story.”

The news coincides with the launch of a new Let’s Go trailer, which showed off a bunch of new places in Kanto that have never been seen before. The trailer also reveals the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo for the first time. There were also a few glimpses on where to find some of the game’s rarer Pokemon, such as Bulbasaur appearing into Viridian Forest.

The Let’s Go series is set to come out worldwide on Nov. 16, combining the core RPG series with elements from Pokémon Go. Trainers will need to catch Pokemon through motion controls in order to use them in battle.
