Sensor Tower Store Intelligence, an app estimate program, is now reporting Pokemon GO has reached a total of $2.5 Billion in revenue since it first released in July 2016, three months ahead of the developer Niantic’s third anniversary for the game

If you break each month down, you’ll find that Pokemon GO earns around $78 million per month, and on the game’s second anniversary it was estimated they had made a total of $1.8 billion. The game does not show any signs of slowing down.

As Pokemon popularity continues to surge as Game Freak develops more, such as the brand new Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield titles releasing later this year, Pokemon fever is going to stay alive.

This information bodes well for Niantic’s upcoming similar title for Harry Potter, called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which releases later this year.

For those playing Pokemon Go right now, there’s a new event going on right now called Bug Out. In it, you have more chances for Bug Pokemon spawns happening throughout the world, including additional opportunities to catch a Shiny Scyther. The event lasts until April 9.
