Regigigas is coming to Pokémon Go for the first time in an upcoming event that players can purchase tickets for.

It got leaked a while ago that Pokémon Go will be charging players real-world money for a new item that was known as a “ticket.” This unique item worries many players, as many feared that this “ticket” item could potentially give some fans an unfair advantage towards others who can’t afford it.

It turns out that the “ticket” is to gain access for a Special Research story event that will center on Regigigas called A Colossal Discovery. This news came out the same time that it got unveiled that Regirock, Regice, and Registeel were returning to the game.

This Colossal Discovery event will be available for players who purchase a ticket on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. local time zone. Tickets will be made available for purchase on Nov. 2, 2019, at 5pm local time. They will cost 7.99 USD, and players can buy them at the in-game store. Players cannot purchase the tickets with PokéCoins.

The ticket allows access to the A Colossal Discovery event. It also gives them a Colossal Discovery medal and a new pose for their trainer avatar. Players will gain ten additional raid passes during the special research mission; players gain a pass every time they spin a Photo Disc at a Gym.

For players who don’t buy a ticket, Regigigas will be made available in EX raids at a later date in November. This event will be the first time Regigigas will become available in Pokémon Go.

Regigigas is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Diamond and Pearl, the fourth generation of Pokémon games. It is a giant titan, and it is considered to be the master of the Regis (Regirock, Regice, and Registeel). The downside to Regigigas is its ability, Slow Start; this ability halves its attack and speed stats for the first five turns of a battle. Regigigas is a pure normal-type Pokémon, making it vulnerable to fighting-type moves and immune to ghost moves.
