In what is proving to be a shock for a lot of people, Persona 5 S has been officially unveiled as Person 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. The game takes the form of a musou-style game and will be coming to both Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4.

This is a case of me being a very happy guy, but I am also able to understand why some people might be a little put off by the news. I love musou-style games and one done with Persona 5’s rich cast of characters is something I am very interested in. For those not in the know, a mosou style game would be things like Dynasty Warrior, or the recent Bezerk and the Band of the Hawk. They are basically large scale beat-em-ups that see you taking on hundreds of enemies in a single battle, and normally defeating them by using a range of outrageously fantastical skills.

As of yet, no release date, or even expected window for release, has been announced, but the game’s arrival on both the Nintendo Switch and the PS4 has been confirmed. We will keep you up to date with more Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers news as it breaks.
