No Man’s Sky Next has been available for a couple days now and Hello Games has already unleashed a brand new hotfix patch to make it a little better thanks to the feedback of the community and their discoveries.

You can download the new experimental patch on PC via Steam, following the simple steps you can see below, and it’s on its way for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One due to the longer certification process those consoles come along with.

The patch comes with a few changes to gameplay, too, like the introduction of a tutorial mission for those who want to get back to the base they had before installing the update Next, on top of the aforementioned fixes.

Here’s the complete changelog:

  • Fixed a crash in creature routines
  • Fixed a crash when multiple players put ammunition into a refiner
  • Fix for occasional crash when receiving mission rewards
  • Fix for crash when adjusting anisotropic filtering settings in the graphics options menu
  • Fix for potential crash in geometry streaming
  • Improvements to texture caching for AMD GPUs
  • Fixed an issue where some players still had physical nanites in their inventory that could not be spent at vendors
  • Granted players nanites when they dismantle their Obsolete Technology
  • Added a tutorial mission to guide players through the restoration of their old base
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to build Frigate Terminals in Creative Mode
  • Fixed an issue where S-Class ships changed appearance
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to build the Base Cache on their freighter to retrieve compensation for the loss of their freighter base

No Man’s Sky Next is now available for free if you already own the main game and for the first time ever on Xbox One, with native 4K resolution on Xbox One X. Have you already given it a try?
