Nier: Automata has sold over 2.5 million units sold worldwide since the title launched over a year ago.

The sales, which were released on Nier’s Japanese Twitter account, take into account both digital and physical purchases of the game since it launched on Feb. 23, 2017 for both the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the title.

The title hit the two million mark back in September 2017. This means that it has sold a half a million units within the last six months.

The announcement follows an interview by Famitsu with the game’s developers that was released a few days ago, claiming that the game still hides one big unpleasant secret for players to discover.

Square Enix is currently planning a special event to mark the anniversary of the North American and European release sometime in the future with details expected to be released at a later date.
