New Splinter Cell Concept Has Been Worked On Right After Blacklist

Splinter Cell, "Some People Are Now Looking At The Brand"

In a recent interview, Ubisoft Toronto founder and Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond has revealed she’s been working on a new Splinter Cell concept right after shipping Blacklist in 2013.

It’s a bit worrying to hear such statements since the series has been on hold for a while now, and that a new title could never see the light of day as of now.

“The last Splinter Cell (Blacklist, released in 2013) is the last one that shipped, so…”, she said.

“You know what? There is a design that we actually had and worked on and would have wanted to make, but since I am not at Ubisoft anymore I can’t talk about it and I don’t know who wants to share that concept.”

Sam Fisher has been a special guest in a Ghost Recon Wildlands crossover event, and that’s all we’ve had from the franchise since 2013.

Will it ever make a comeback of sorts, perhaps getting back to the drawing board or recovering that concept Raymond talked about?

At this stage the fate of the brand is quite a mystery, one we hope it’s about to get unraveled some way as we approach 2019.
