A new trailer for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC has come out.

Kingdom Hearts III released in January of this year, after over a decade of fan anticipation. The game received positive reviews, with fans and critics praising the presentation of the game. However, some people found issues with the plot, especially since certain plot elements were left open-ended.

The game’s director, Tetsuya Nomura, promised they would fix some of these story issues in an upcoming DLC. A trailer for a DLC pack called Re Mind first released at KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra – World of Tres – in June, not long before E3.

The initial trailer showed off a new Keyblade for protagonist Sora to wield in the game. The trailer also showed new sections of the game that players can play as Roxas, Riku, and Aqua. New tantalizing story cutscenes were featured in the trailer, making fans speculate.

Last week, Square Enix, the developers of Kingdom Hearts, revealed they were releasing a new trailer for the Re Mind DLC for TGS on Monday.

You can check out the new trailer below.

The trailer offers new information on the DLC, adding in additional cutscenes to the story. The interesting thing about the cutscenes is the fact that they appear to take place during the final part of the game’s main story. Some of them even seemed to be extensions of previous cutscenes in the game.

The new cutscenes include Kairi and Axel confronting a hooded Xion, Aqua confronting a Xehanort possessed Terra, Sora talking to Namine in person, Young Xehanort talking to the Master of Masters. The final scene of the trailer shows a possessed Terra about to clash with the Lingering Will.

New gameplay stuff includes Sora using the Oathkeeper, a Keyblade a part of the DLC. He is shown fighting what appears to be the antagonists Vanitas and Xigbar in a mysterious new place. Other new gameplay features include a unique combo attack for Roxas, Axel, and Xion. An Aqua and Ventus combo is also shown off in the trailer.

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC releases this winter, but no official release date cropped up in the trailer.
