Mortal Kombat 11 has revealed a new combatant for the roster, and this time it is a completely new character called The Kollector.

The focus of the Mortal Kombat 11’s roster appears to have fan favorites make grand returns, like Baraka and Noob Saibot, after missing out on Mortal Kombat X. However there are a few completely new characters that will be making their debuts in Mortal Kombat 11.

Recently, Game Informer unveiled the reveal trailer for the new character Cetrion. Cetrion is a brand new character for Mortal Kombat, with MK 11 being her first ever appearance as a playable character.

The main villain is also a brand new fighter. Kronika is the Keeper of Time and is the first female villain to be the final boss. Geras, Kronika’s lackey, is also a brand new playable character in the franchise.

The Kollector is the most recent brand new character to be revealed for Mortal Kombat 11. He follows the great tradition in the franchise of replacing the “C” in his name with a hard “K.”

In his reveal trailer, The Kollector is a blue-skinned creature with multiple arms. He appears to have six arms, two of which are carrying a backpack on his back. He carries with him some sort of ball and chain to attack his opponents.

He takes out a variety of weapons from his backpack to use against his enemies, like knives and a ghostly lantern. He also seems to be well versed with magic, using different kinds of sorcery to create projectiles. He is also capable of casting fire onto his foe and can teleport as well.

In his interactions with Baraka, The Kollector makes it seem as if he works with Shao Kahn. That would mean he is an underling for Outward, possibly coming from the past when Shao Kahn was still alive.

The Kollector’s reveal trailer ends with one of his fatalities. He jumps on top of his opponent and begins literally tearing them apart with his many hands. He eventually pulls off his enemies head and put it in his backpack. He then smashes on what remains of his opponent’s body.

Mortal Kombat 11 is slated to be released on April 23.
