Official Mortal Kombat 11 Nintendo Switch Gameplay Reveal Trailer

The official Nintendo Switch gameplay reveal trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 has finally been shown off.
Fans were a little surprised to hear that Mortal Kombat 11 was announced for the Nintendo Switch. Usually, the family-friendly Nintendo doesn’t associate itself with violent games like Mortal Kombat.
Past games of the Mortal Kombat games have been released on Nintendo consoles; for example, the early Mortal Kombat games on the arcades were ported over to the Super Nintendo, and Mortal Kombat Armageddon was released on the Wii.
However, the last several titles in the Mortal Kombat series have been absent on Nintendo platforms. This may be because the graphics for Mortal Kombat has increasingly looked more realistic. The more realistic graphics mean the violence looks more realistic, which may be something Nintendo wanted to avoid.
With Mortal Kombat 11 coming to the Nintendo Switch, fans were wondering how well the game will perform on the console. The Switch is a noticeable downgrade in terms of hardware; it isn’t capable of matching the same specs as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
With that said, being able to play MK 11 on the go is a very appealing prospect for many gamers. NetherRealm Studios promises the game will run a smooth 60 frames per second on the Switch.
If the official Nintendo Switch gameplay trailer for MK 11 is an accurate indication of how the game will run, then fans should be completely satisfied.
Though there appears to be a noticeable graphical downgrade for MK 11 on the Switch, the game seems to run and play very smooth. Possibly just as impressive is the fact that the trailer kept all the extreme violence in. Every blood squirting out of the characters is as easy to see on the Switch as it is on the PS4 and Xbox One.
The trailer also showed off more story cutscenes, revealing what the main characters are doing during the events of the story. Kitana and Baraka appear to be teaming up, and past Johnny Cage gets a scar that magically shows up on present Johnny.
Mortal Kombat 11 on the Nintendo Switch will come out on the same day as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, April 23.
