Capcom has updated its Platinum list of titles that details how many copies have sold overall, and over the last quarter, its most recent games. The list, via ResetEra, is still being led by record-breaking Monster Hunter World, but it’s interesting to note that it is still selling a lot and not only living off its monstrous launch.

As you can see below, in Q1 FY2019 (three months), Monster Hunter World has managed to sell 700K units, which is impressive if you consider that it didn’t drop any important content. On top of that, a new edition including the Iceborne expansion is releasing in September, so those numbers are destined to raise soon further.

Among the games which performed best over this same period we can find Street Fighter V, which has managed to monetize the momentum culminating in EVO 2019 with the promise of new content updates, and Devil May Cry V, rather unusual if you look at the fact that Capcom has stopped working on it.

  1. Monster Hunter World – 13.1M (+700K)
  2. Resident Evil 7 – 6.6M (6.4M) (+200K)
  3. Street Fighter V – 3.7M (3.1M) (+600K)
  4. Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) – 3.2M (3.1M) (+100K)
  5. Resident Evil 2 – 4.5M (4.2M) (+300K)
  6. Devil May Cry V – 2.5M (2.1M) (+400K)
  7. Resident Evil 4 HD – 1.5M (1.4M) (+100K)
  8. Dead Rising 3 – 2.7M (2.6M) (+100K)

Overall, the best selling Capcom franchise remains Resident Evil with 92 million units sold over 132 different SKU; thanks to 128 of those SKU, 1 million copies were sold in the Q1 FY2019, 300K of which by Resident Evil 2. Then we have Monster Hunter at 55 million and Street Fighter at 43 million.
