Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to include 300 playable characters, new quest system
There’s a whole lot of Jedi to unlock ahead.
There’s not a release date quite yet, but sometime this spring Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will bring along a block-filled parody of all nine films in the space opera, with more characters and levels offered than ever before.
In an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, developer TT Games’s Dawn McDiarmid confirmed that the massive collection will include over 800 Star Wars characters, with around 300 of them being playable. Although taking on each film in one game is no easy task, she also went on to reveal that over 23 planets and other locations will be featured, each “full of quests, challenges, items, and characters to find.”
However, the upcoming saga is more than just a continuation of the typical Lego video game formula. McDairmid made brief mention of a new, “more in-depth quest system,” that will allow players to freely choose which films to play through first. Aside from this new feature, it was last teased that the game would include an aim-down-sights mechanic and character upgrade system.
When Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga does make its way to store shelves this year, it will be available on Switch, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
