Lots of interesting pieces of information have been release during a recent Halo Infinite-focused livestream on Mixer.

The livestream was held by 343 Industries, the studio behind the latest three releases of the series, and shared the first details of some of the features that will be included.

First of all, the 4-player split-screen mode will make a comeback after skipping Guardians, thanks to the new Slipspace engine which will break free of all the limitations of the previous engine.

It’s not clear at this stage if it’ll be limited to the story mode or to the multiplayer component, but from the looks of it, we’ll get the support all over the game.

On top of that, it has been revealed that the title will feature a Halo Reach-like customization for what matters multiplayer, with pieces of armor you can edit your own way in terms of visuals.

Black Undersuits has been confirmed (again) for Infinite, as “all parts of armor that isn’t the metal pieces” and the art department (sparth) is well aware of the high demand.

Flighting Programs for Infinite will start soon, probably next year, and will involve more and more players as soon as we approach the release of a public beta (most likely in 2020).

“Different layers of the community will be able to play the game at different stages of development,” 343 community director Brian Jarrard said

“The flighting program isn’t like a beta, where it’s a moment in time on Halo 5 like we had for a couple weeks. We want to have a relationship, and we want to build that over time. We can have people coming giving us feedback and playing the experiences, and we can update it as we go,” studio FPS head Chris Lee added.

Halo Infinite should be around in 2020 for Windows 10, Xbox One and Xbox Scarlett.
