In a blog post on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries has hinted at a multiplayer beta for Halo Infinite to be released before the complete game launches at a yet to be determined date.

It’s the same process The Master Chief Collection has undergone thus far and that’s not particularly surprising, considering that Frank O’ Connor revealed that all the future Halo games after the MCC debacle would be featuring a beta before launch.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta Coming Before Launch

“We will have some new and unexpected directions to take folks in and I believe the way we achieve that is to build alongside our community, iterating and improving as we go,” Chris Lee, studio head of FPS at 343 Industries, said.

“In the future, you will be able to join early flighting programs that will let members of the community play the game with us, and give direct feedback, much like the current Insider flighting program for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It will take some time for us to be ready to kick those flighting events off, but when we do they will start small and grow along the way.”

Halo Infinite features a new engine, called Slipspace, which was showcased at the Xbox E3 2018 media briefing with a very early teaser trailer of the game. Considering how early this stuff is, we would not hold our breath for a launch date.
