Google Stadia Buddy Pass Rolling Out, so Choose a Friend to Invite Now

Buddy Passes has begun rolling out for Google Stadia Founder’s Edition owner. If you’re a Stadia early buyers, you should check your email to find your Buddy Pass you can offer a friend of yours to join the cloud gaming platform.

Google sent subscribers emails to inform them about the beginning of the roll-out phase for those passes, which has officially started at 4:30 PM PST on Nov. 26. Buddy Passes were said to be rolling out in two weeks after Nov. 19 launch.

“To send your Buddy Pass and get your chosen friend or enemy gaming on Stadia, open the Stadia app, and tap the envelope icon in the top-left. Follow the prompts and give the gift of Stadia today!” said the platform owner. “Please note that as soon as you tap ‘Send your Buddy Pass,’ you will receive a copy of your Buddy Pass code in your e-mail inbox.”

Buddy Passes have been offered to a limited users, specifically those purchasing the Founder’s Edition of Stadia so that they can send them to a friend and have them on the service for up to three months. After that, your friend will be required to subscribe to Stadia Pro, or leave.

The Premiere Edition of Stadia doesn’t include Buddy Pass anymore. It solely comes with a Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, and the opportunity to grab a nickname ahead of the full release in 2020, when Stadia Base will be available, and you won’t require any additional hardware to join the platform.

Stadia Pro, the only way you can reach Stadia at the time being, also offers two free games per month. The subscription has launched with Destiny 2 and Samurai Shodown, while in December, it will add Farming Simulator 19 and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition.
