Saturday night’s NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs took a wild turn at halftime, as PlayStation’s God of War took over the big screen and court in spectacular fashion.

Kratos and his son Atreus began battling creatures right on the hardwood, as footage of the game was projected to cover the entire court and the lights in the Oracle Arena.

This extremely interesting new form of marketing had fans in the arena pulling out their phones to take pictures of the trailer in action as it combined multiple screens to show off action from the upcoming April 20 release.

The presentation was about two minutes long in total, but those who were in attendance will probably remember the spectacle for a long time. And the gamers in the crowd will most likely be looking to play God of War when it releases, if they weren’t already.

In other NBA-related gaming news, Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Paul George released his PlayStation-inspired basketball shoes on the same day. It seems like PlayStation’s pairings with the NBA are being received pretty well, as those who attempted to purchase the limited edition Nikes needed to enter a raffle for the chance to even buy them.
