Despite what some may have seen, publisher Devolver Digital has now confirmed that its battle royale, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, will actually not be coming to Xbox Game Pass or any service of the sort anytime soon.

The speculation first began Wednesday with a presumably mistaken claim from the Xbox Game Pass Instagram account, when it responded “It’s coming” to a commenter asking on the possible arrival of Fall Guys. Minutes later, Devolver quickly dismissed the idea to The Verge’s Tom Warren on Twitter.

“There are no plans for Fall Guys to come to any form of Gamepass,” the publisher tweeted when Warren asked if the title would at least come to the subscription’s PC catalog. At the time of writing, Xbox Game Pass’s comment is still present on the account, but it has not given any further clarification on why the claim was made.

Devolver did not expand on how this misunderstanding came to be, but Fall Guys’s Twitter account also assured the matter was “a bit of a mixup.” The confusion comes only days after Fall Guys’ social media team first debunked a port on Xbox, despite complimenting the Microsoft service on Twitter.
