Fall Guys developer has finally confirmed it’s working on bringing it to ‘every major platform’
Amid all of the rumors, Mediatonic assures it’s planning on porting over the competitive platformer.
In the wake of denying that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout would come to Xbox Game Pass, developer Mediatonic has now disclosed its interest in sending out the zany battle royale to more player bases. In fact, it is actively planning ports for other consoles.
“We want it to come to every major platform, and we’re working hard to achieve it,” Mediatonic’s Dave Bailey stated to Gameindustry.biz. Expanding on its potential, he revealed that the developer desires to “connect those platforms so that people can play together,” seemingly pointing to an eventual cross-play feature, too.
Bailey’s aspirations are certainly a change in tone from the developer. It was previously rather quiet on Fall Guys’ chances of having Xbox and Switch versions – or even a PS5 upgrade.
Even though excluded platforms have missed out on the title’s first few seasons, Bailey asserted that Mediatonic has only “scratched the surface,” with the title’s game show format presenting “a million different ways” it can go about developing new material.
As for its immediate plans, Fall Guys is slated to have a massive mid-point update for Season 3 come soon, delivering over 40 stage alterations and one brand new stage.
