Dragon Ball Z is coming back to mobile with Dragon Ball Legends, a new mobile fighter coming to both iOS and Android at some point this year. Unveiled during a GDC 2018 livestream from Bandai Namco, the game will feature a unique combination of both 3D fighting and card battle mechanics.

The game has been customized to work well on mobile devices that only requires that you tap on cards to execute powerful moves or pull combos together. Blue cards are special moves, yellow cards are ranged attacks, and red cards offer melee attacks. In this way the game seems to want to do away with the frustrating parts of fighters for mobile titles, and it seems as though it’s going to streamline the experience entirely.

Dragon Ball Legends will also offer PvP modes where you’ll round up three characters to attack enemies anywhere in the world in real-time, just like you would on consoles and PC.

With characters like Goku, Nappa, Piccolo, and Frieza already confirmed, you can bet there’ll be a fully fleshed-out roster just like in the other Dragon Ball-themed fighters.

This iteration doesn’t have a release date or any further details just yet, but it sounds like a wish come true for Dragon Ball fans.
