If you’re entranced by Detroit: Become Human, the ambitious new title by Quantic Dream, you’ll want to clear your schedule for tomorrow. The narrative adventure is getting a special demo on PlayStation 4 tomorrow as Quantic Dream celebrates the game’s achieving gold status. This means that the game is essentially mastered now and ready to be shipped off to waiting consumers around the world soon.

It’s big news for the developer, and you get a brief look at the title a month ahead of time as a result, with the “Hostage” portion of the game going live in all areas tomorrow. If you live in Australia or New Zealand, however, you can snap up the demo right now.

The demo will begin rolling out around 12:01 AM ET on April 24 otherwise, and you’ll be able to play through the game’s very first scene. You’ll take on the role of Connor, an android investigator tasked with chasing down “deviants,” or androids who have overridden their own programming. It’s a harrowing situation as you’ve got to work to prevent a deviant from tossing a little girl off the edge of a skyscraper. No pressure, right?

Luckily, if you have an Amazon Echo or similar product, you can enlist Alexa to help you out during your time with the demo. Quantic Dream has created the Cyberlife Alexa Skill, an AI assistant to help you figure out how best to navigate the minefield of a situation Connor finds himself in. You’ll be able to download it to help propel you through the demo tomorrow when it goes live.

Detroit: Become Human is still targeting a May 25 release date on PlayStation 4, and it looks like an excellent riff on Quantic Dream’s typical fare. If you’re interested in seeing what it’s all about, keep an eye out for the demo and sharpen your detective skills ahead of time. You’re probably going to need them a lot more than you might think.
