Death Stranding Only Beaten By Days Gone As Best PS4 2019 UK Launch

Death Stranding released on Nov. 8, but we already have some information regarding how well it sold. The game comes from a famed game director Hideo Kojima, but some mixed reviews that might have harmed its sales.

So, how did it perform? While we don’t have the bigger picture at the time being, having only three days passed from the day one, we have UK sales that are usually a good indicator about what’s happening about the video games right now.

Initially shared by GamesIndustry International, retail sales were robust for Death Stranding, which proved to be the second-best launch of a new IP and PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2019 for the United Kingdom alone. Days Gone beat it and sold 33 percent more copies at retail launch.

Death Stranding debuted at the second spot, briefly following its release. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remains at the top for the third week in a row, while Luigi’s Mansion 3‘s position decreases from the second to the fourth.
